At Velliv, we're owned by our customers. That's why we believe in giving back to them when things are going well.
The idea is simple: When Velliv does well, you should benefit too. If you're a customer with market-rate pension, this happens through VellivKroner which are paid directly into your pension savings.
VellivKroner is a cost discount that we expect to allocate to your market-rate pension savings once a year.
VellivKroner applies to customers with market-rate products, i.e. VækstPension and LinkPension. You receive VellivKroner both while you're saving for your retirement and once you've started receiving your pension.
Unsure whether you have market rate or mean interest rate?
The amount of VellivKroner is determined by Velliv's Board of Directors. Your VellivKroner is calculated as a percentage of your savings at the end of the year prior to allocation. You're eligible if you were a Velliv customer on 31 December of the previous year and still are at the time of allocation, typically in April or May.
VellivKroner is invested alongside your existing savings. It is subject to tax on pension returns (PAL tax) of 15.30%, just like your other returns. And when your pension is disbursed, VellivKroner will be taxed as regular income, just like your other disbursements.
Velliv is owned by Velliv Foreningen. An association where all customers are automatically members. Ultimately, this means that Velliv is owned by its customers.
In November 2025, the democratically elected Board of Representatives of Velliv Foreningen decided to revise the bonus model. As a result, Velliv is now introducing VellivKroner, which replaces the previous bonus model for market-rate customers.
Customers with mean-interest-rate savings, HøjrentePension or insurance-only products will continue to receive a cash bonus paid into their NemKonto by Velliv Foreningen.
Customers with both market-rate, HøjrentePension and mean-interest-rate products will receive both VellivKroner from Velliv and a bonus from Velliv Foreningen.
Velliv may adjust the terms of VellivKroner or choose to discontinue the model entirely. In such cases, customers will be informed accordingly.
